JLL appoints Luke Billiau as capital markets head for Australia and New Zealand

Luke Billiau has been appointed to the role of head of capital markets for both Australia and New Zealand by JLL. His past roles in the company include head of capital markets for NSW and head of office investments for Australia.

The move was announced by JLL in a press statement on May 15. With it, Billiau will lead a team of 140 professionals in the country.

Speaking about this decision, Stuart Crow, CEO of Capital Markets, Asia Pacific at JLL stated, “Luke has an impressive record of different asset classes and relationships with various clients. His past experience speaks to his successful leadership and execution, which makes us certain of the bright future of the capital markets business in Australia.”

Billiau first joined JLL in 2007. Over the years, he has held senior positions such as heading up the Queensland capital markets team as well as the state’s valuations and advisory division.

The news of Billiau’s promotion comes soon after The Work Project opened its first location in Australia and Avani’s debut hotel in the country opened in Sunshine Coast.

Singapore too has been gaining ground, with the country holding third place in attracting the world’s wealthy population, after UAE and Australia.
